Installment two of our Dressing For Your Body Type. This week we are looking at the PEAR or TRIANGLE SHAPE.
🔷 Your waist is wider than your bust; you consider yourself to have fuller hips, your shoulders are more narrow than your hips, you have a fuller rear
👚 Tops- Go for tops that are more fitted to give you definition around your narrow shoulders & draw attention to your waist. Plunging V-necks, cowl necks, bell sleeves, scoop necks
🧥 Layers- Hemlines are key! Go for A-line, princess cuts, waist-length jackets and any outwear that hits mid-thigh. Boxy coats work well on you but as a rule of thumb, you’ll want to go for a cropped style that emphasizes your waist.
👗 Dresses- Dropped and embellished necklines, open backs, dramatic sleeves, A-lines & belted styles all work with your slender upper body. Any hemline that hits right below the knee will elongate your frame and slenderize the hips and thighs. Maxi’s are right perfect for pear shapes.
👖 Jeans- Bootcut and flares are great go-tos, If you’re petite, bootcut and classic trousers are elongating.
💍 Jewelry-Statement or chunky layered necklaces that hit above the bust are made for you! Earrings- the bigger, the better! And PEARS….you can rock a wide-brimmed hat!
