DRESSING FOR YOUR BODY TYPE - ATHLETIC

Our last body type is the ATHLETIC or RECTANGLE SHAPE.
 
Your body is usually on the straight up and down side. Your shape looks great in almost everything! You’re not particularly curvy, shoulders and hip are nearly same, waist isn’t well-defined and weight is pretty evenly distributed throughout your body. The key to dressing this shape is keep volume on top OR bottom. If you wear an oversized top, keep the bottom skinny or structured. If your top is more form fitting, then wear a flowy or oversized pant.
 
TOPS - Your power pieces are halter styles, racerbacks, scoop and round necklines and strapless anything!
LAYERS - Peacoats, dusters, bomber jackets and flowy outerwear look fantastic on you!
DRESSES - Most dress styles work for you. Play up your favorite feature. If you love your legs- go for a mini. Want to play up your bust- choose strapless or a plunging neckline. Halter jumpsuits are perfect.
JEANS - Pick a pant that will complement your top shape. If your top is oversized, go with a skinny pant. If you’re petite, pick flowy and wide-leg styles, gathered waist and even cargos. If you have a long torso, select a medium rise jean.
 
JEWELRY -It all depends on where you want to draw the eye. You want attention upward? Put on statement earrings, layer some necklaces or add a scarf. If you have long arms, you can rock chunky bangles!
