Before we continue, we want to stress that everybody and every BODY is different. These are just guidelines and a starting point. Don’t ever feel boxed into one “shape” experiment or mix and match shapes to find the fit that’s right for YOU!!
So let's talk about the PEAR or TRIANGLE SHAPE:
You are generally well-proportioned, shoulders are broader than hips, not necessarily as curvy through your hips, waist is not well-defined.
Tops- Breezy A-line silhouettes, flowy tunics, relaxed, boyfriend button-ups and v-neck anything. Choose fabrics that streamline from your bust through your hips.
Layers- Where your jacket hits makes all the difference- the best jackets for your shape are ones that hit at the hip or upper thigh. A-line or straight, knee-length trench styles without the belt will be super flattering and you can pull off a poncho like a fashionista! are made for ponchos!!you can pull off a
Dresses- Strapless styles look great on apple shapes. Maxi’s with lower necklines are super flattering and a wrap dress can be your secret weapon. Knee length and sheath styles are perfect too! A-line styles are great on apple shapes and diagonal stripes and darker colors are always slimming.
Jeans- Skinny jeans and leggings look great on your shape, especially paired with a breezy tunic, oversized sweater or oversized button-down. Flares with heels are great! If you have long legs, you can wear flats. Actually you can pretty much pull off all styles of jeans- classic trouser fit, cropped, or ankle. Good rule of thumb, if your top is breezy, grab a more structured or skinny pant to balance your look.
Jewelry- You want to draw the eye up and down with a longer length or keep it light and delicate then add statement rings, oversized earrings or bracelets.
